Folks have asked when Big Thicket Golf is opening, and if we plan to open a storefront...
The honest answer is - we're working on it, and gettin' closer to making it happen, each day.
We've been looking around at different spaces, locations, and getting to know the other local
shops, all to understand what we want to build, and what SETX actually needs from a shop like this.
So, that's why this online store is happening first. YOU get to tell us exactly what SETX needs.
When the physical store opens, it will be created from the—
feedback AND from support you have given us. We're in no rush to get it wrong.
This is going to be a place people actually want to spend time in. Somewhere that feels like it has always been here.
We are shooting for 2027 - ambitious - but possible thanks to you.

Nine months ago, Nick invited Eric to go hit golf balls at Mulligans. That's all it took. Now we've opened an actual shop — well, a digital one for now — and it's live.
The first batch is up. Used irons, wedges, putters, bags, and one driver… Some of these items are beginner-friendly, priced to get someone into the game without any buyer remorse. We also stocked up some cool finds from Japan, that fellow gear nerds might be hunting down.
This is just the start of something we've been building quietly for a while now — sourcing, photographing, and learning what Southeast Texas truly needs from a golf shop.
The Big Thicket and the towns surrounded by it, should have a space where the folks gettin' into this game can build their bag as they progress into the game. And maybe, from growing together, we build a community that is focused on playing this game, and getting outside.
